Bilal Nash

Bilal Nash is a native of Charlotte NC, and has been studying and Djembe and Dununs since the age of 7. He has performed with Kabaka dance company(NC) AADE(The African American Dance Ensemble) SHAE Movement(NC) Dunuye-Fan and countless others. He has also studied with many different teachers including Mohammed Dacosta, Mohammed Camara, Fode Lavia Camara, Alan Boyd, Aboubacar Soumah and many others. He currently resides in Fort Lauderdale Florida, where he teaches a youth class titled Djembe T.R.A.P ( Traditional Rhythm Apprenticeship Program.) along with Nikkanni Shawishi.
